The Power of Naming Feelings

Growing our hearts in faith means being able to name our feelings. It takes courage to name a feeling and own it, rather than passing off our feelings as orders, directions or facts. This time of interim ministry is one of change and uncertainty. The world is also in a time of change, and we might feel uncertain or afraid. A way to seek stability is to name our feelings. This is a powerful tool in embracing difficult change. Many of us resort to binary thinking: good/bad/sad/mad for feelings. Learning how to process complexity is a path to both healing and liberation. Starting is challenging but naming is the first step. Come to this service to learn how to apply new tools for calm and peace.
